Authentic AI for Marketing Course

Dear Reader,

Thank you for opening my emails. There have been some new subscribers recently, so I wanted to say hello and give you a present.

As I got tackled by my calendar this month, I noticed that June and October are full of conferences, which got me thinking about marketing. I can be lackadaisical in my preparations to attend these events sometimes, so I thought I'd get down a plan once and for all. Be Prepared and all that.

And my planning turned out well, so I thought I'd repurpose it as a guide and worksheet.

It's called Show Up Ready.

The thought behind it is that when you go to conferences, you’re not starting from scratch. You’re starting from experience. You know your work. You know what you care about. You’re not trying to reinvent yourself—you’re trying to show up with more clarity and consistency, especially in how you talk about what you do.

Show Up Ready is a short, strategic tool to help you prepare for professional events such as conferences, workshops, networking, or even casual coffee meetups.

Because every event has a marketing moment of opportunity ...

By which I mean a chance to connect with people in a meaningful way and perhaps begin a relationship (not THAT kind, the business version).

And how you show up—what you say, how you connect, what people remember—is a reflection of you/your brand.

Show Up Ready helps you plan with purpose. It guides you through preparing what to say, what to bring, and what to focus on, so your presence feels aligned with your message. You’ll clarify your event goal, define your key message, and plan to make follow-up easy.

You’ll find the questions are simple. That’s intentional. This isn’t about downloading something new—it’s about putting language around what you already know.

Download the Show Up Ready.pdf guide and worksheet to prepare, connect intentionally, and follow up with purpose.

May the business force be with you.

Sincerely yours,

Danielle

Dear Reader, GPT-5 just changed the game for professional services marketing, and most people don’t realize how different it is from GPT-4. Here’s what shifted: GPT-5 is “agentic,” meaning it takes more initiative in understanding your intent. Your old prompts might now feel clunky or produce unexpected results. Quick win to try today: GPT-5’s real-time router decides when to think deeply vs. respond quickly. Next time you need strategic thinking, be explicit: “Think carefully about this...

As I read what industry experts had to say about Chat GPT 5, two cultural lines popped into my head: 1. “I do declare, Frank Kennedy, if you don’t look dashing with that new set of whiskers!” (Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind) 2. “A little less conversation, a little more action” (Elvis Presley, "A Little Less Conversation") High-Level Differences Between ChatGPT 4 and ChatGPT 5 1. Where did my models go? The model selection drop-down is gone for most users (Plus/Pro/Team users can still...
